With the craze of Korean skincare that has taken over the skincare community, there are some brands that are key players at the forefront, such as COSRX, Medicube, Beauty of Joseon, Anua, etc. However, there is a brand that I don’t hear talked about often enough, and in my humble opinion, I think it is quite underrated. That brand is TIAM and their Vita B3 Source serum is a holy grail that has been a staple in my skincare for years now, and I can not do without it.

I know we are at a point where everyone is tired of constantly being sold something, but this is a geniun recommendation. While I was doing my skincare this morning, I was pondering as to why this effective product is not as popular as the other brands we know; maybe the brand doesn’t spend as much on marketing. Regardless, I thought I should do my part; after all, this website is for sharing all our beauty and style secrets so we can help you look your best.
Let’s dive into a little of the “boring details” about this serum that make it effective: This product contains two main ingredients that help it do what it does; these are:
10% Niacinamide, and
2% Alpha Arbutin
Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with too many details, but alpha arbutin, which is made from rice, has a primary function of gradually brightening the skin. Niacinamide, on the other hand, is known to many people, as it is one of the most common ingredients in skincare. Niacinamide is also known as vitamin B3, and it helps reduce sebum production; hence its effectiveness against acne. It also helps to improve skin dullness and texture. So the combination of these two ingredients helps brighten and smooth the skin.

Who is this product not for? People who are allergic to or have a reaction to Niacinamide. As much as the formulation in this serum is mild, there are people whose skin can’t stand niacinamide, especially in a high concentration. For people like that, I will not recommend this serum.
However, if your skin LOVES Niacinamide as mine does, you’ll love this product.
Where can you get this Product?
You can get it for under $20 on Amazon, and it even goes as low as $11 during Prime sales. You can also find it on Korean skincare stores such as YesStyle or Olive Young.
Why should you give this serum a try? It is affordable and effective; it also comes in a 40ml bottle compared to the typical 30ml bottle we usually get with other serums.
How do I use this serum? I use it as the third step in my routine after using the Tony Moly wonder ceramide mochi milky toner which is another holy grail product that is inexpensive and effective and is great for restoring your skin barier. This toner single handedly fixed my dehydrated skin issues and together With TIAM Vita B3 source toner will help you achieve dewy and even toned skin.
How long does it take to start seeing result? It too about two weeks of consistent usage to start seeing improvement of my skin dullness and increased radiance so it should take you between two to four weeks to see improvement in your skin.
